Hello, and welcome to the PHB website. The band is getting plenty of calls for gigs; both in clubs/bars and in festivals and conventions, so we are excited about performing in your area soon.
We all hope that we gain tons of friends to come hang out with us at our shows.

NOTE: Our good friend, musician & brother Mike (Mik Shelty) Hall; passed away last Saturday.
Please send your prayers and condolences to his family. Mike was a fine musician
(Bassist and Lead/Harmony Sing), and played for many, many years with many fine
bands.
All that knew him, knew that his heart was warm and caring. We will miss him!!

NEWS: December 2008
Well, folks! Its almost the end of 2008. Its been a good year for PHB
and we hope that 2009 will be even better. Its not easy though, as clubs
are experiencing a loss due to the non-smoking laws and very tough DUI
laws. This results in a lot fewer folks going out for the night on weekends
and therefore, less booking for bands. Obviously, we hope that we can
continue to perform, but we do have to expand our gig base to farther
venues. We certainly wish that 2009 will be a even better year, with
more people supporting live music and venturing out to our shows.
We also are aware of the hard, financial times we all face and wish that
all of you have a much better 2009 as well.
So, from all of us in PHB, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and
a Happy New Year...be safe, be happy, and good health to you all.

Pearl Handle Band featured in the Times Courier. Note that its a bit
incorrect, but essentially correct. One thing in particular is that Justin
Hays is our drummer for the Sherrill Douglas shows.

NEWS: April 2008
PHB was just picked up by Patsy Cline Tribute Artist; Sherrill Douglas of Dallas, TX
to do 'The Patsy Cline Tribute Show' at the Lincoln Square Theater in Decatur, Illinois.
She has also asked us to be her backup band for more shows coming soon.
We are thrilled to do these shows with her.
She is an excellent entertainer and does an amazing representation of Patsy.
